Volunteer Program

Timberlane Farm Museum needs volunteers as we continue to build the museum’s programs.

We need extra hands for special events, regular maintenance of houses, land, outbuildings and a host of other projects.

Think of your strengths and/or interests and how they might apply here.

Some suggestions where you may be able to help:

 •  Artifact maintenance and care, polishing and cleaning

 •  Artifact accession/records, photo care, primitives care

 •  Artifact farm equipment care and repair

 •  Scrapbooking (yellow house, brick house, outbuildings)

 •  Historical research (1860’s-1940’s)

 •  Office assistance (typing, filing, phone calls, copying etc.)

 •  Housekeeping/cleaning, window washing

 •  Gardening: planting, pruning, weeding (old fashioned tools and methods)

 •  Field work possibly

 •  Docent training/single site expertise

 •  Tour guiding – general knowledge

Skill demonstrations (or maybe you know someone) could be: quilting, spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, wood working, music, harness making, bee keeping/honey harvest, cider pressing, butter making, farrier work etc., etc., etc., or make a suggestion!
